I was some minutes he reached the cornfield and he felt like the idea of an event happening was just a stupid idea. What could ever happen in the middle of a stupid deserted cornfield? But somehow, he didn't want to move. Why? Well, this is actually ver complex to explain. Why should he have to move at all if he is somehow... nihilist? Well, wait, he is not really nihilist, because if he was, he wouldn't walk around, he will just stay... Indeed, he was just staying there. So, even if he thought to be pantheistic, maybe in reality he was a nihilist. Maybe the difference is very small. Maybe it's just about seeing the whole in a different perspective, or about ^expanding^ that perspective.
